About our service
The dietetic team at Imperial Weight Centre are here to provide help and support to people who are trying to reduce their weight with or without surgery with the support of our Tier 3 Weight Management Service and Tier 4 Bariatric Surgery service.
Tier 3 weight management service
The Tier 3 weight management program is offered to patients who have not undergone a medically supervised weight lost program in the community. The program is run by our weight management dietitians and offers an 8 week virtual group program which explores dietary and lifestyle advice to help work towards making healthier lifestyle changes and improve understanding of food and nutrition.
One to one appointments are offered to those requiring additional support such as interpreters within the service.
Topics that are covered within the program include: regular eating, sleep, cravings, food labels, macronutrients, mindful eating, sugar, fibre, bariatric surgery and lapses.
Throughout the program you will have access to our dietetic team, who can offer tailored advice and answer any questions or concerns you may have around nutrition and diet.
Here at Imperial Weight Centre we do not set a target weight loss for our patients, however we hope that through the support of the program and making small changes to diet and lifestyle we can assist sustainable weight loss which we know can have significant improvements on health. Many of our patients achieve a 5% weight loss by the end of the 8 weeks program.
