GP services
Our GP service has direct access to world-class consultants, surgeons and specialists from across Imperial College Healthcare Private Care. This means our private GP can quickly seek advice or a second opinion and access state-of-the-art diagnostic and testing facilities.
With our Lindo Wing clinic located at St Mary’s Hospital you also have the reassurance that all the 24/7 urgent and emergency services and skills offered by a large acute NHS Trust are within easy reach. It also means onward referrals are fast and straightforward – if you are not sure which specialist you need to see, our GP service can refer you to the most appropriate specialist or service.
For your convenience and peace of mind, we offer a flexible service. Our GPs carry out home visits and can arrange appointments at a time that suits you; same-day and out-of-hours appointments may be available. You will be given all the time you need to discuss your symptoms or health check in depth.
As well as offering general consultations about health concerns, our GPs offers the following services:
- blood tests
- immunisations
- travel vaccinations
- general health checks, including ECGs, urine tests, weight control, cholesterol and blood pressure checks
- well woman and well man services, including family planning, cervical smears, breast checks and bone densitometry
- home/hotel visits – including out of hours, on request
- visa medicals and employment health checks
- virtual/ video consultations are available as appropriate
Our GPs provide a tailored, confidential one-to-one approach and follow-up. They will remain a consistent contact throughout your care, via email and telephone consultations – even after you have returned home if you live overseas.
You do not need to be resident in the UK to use our GP service.
