At the Lindo Wing we have overseen private births for generations of families since 1937

We offer consultant-led maternity care, with support from our team of dedicated midwives. We will work with you to create a safe, personalised care plan for every stage of your pregnancy and birth. 

The Lindo Wing is opposite St Mary’s Hospital, which is a leading NHS hospital with a specialist neonatal intensive care unit. This means we have the expertise to respond quickly to any complication 24 hours a day.

As well as our world-renowned maternity services, we also specialise in a range of complex surgeries including trauma, weight loss, vascular, gynaecology, urology, ear, nose and throat, and general surgery.

A private paediatric service is available at St Mary’s Hospital for certain specialities, including our internationally recognised haematology service. We offer private outpatient facilities, dedicated operating theatres, comfortable, private en-suite rooms and day case rooms.

Your fertility tests and follow up consultation

At your first appointment, you will meet your consultant to discuss your medical history and how you would like to grow your family. We will also discuss which fertility tests you need to have. We encourage you to bring your partner or a friend to your appointments with our fertility service.
