Disability Confident

The Trust is a Disability Confident Employer, having achieved Level 2 of the Government’s Disability Confident Commitment. We’ve committed to the following:

  • Actively attracting and recruiting disabled people to help fill our opportunities, including offering guaranteed interviews for disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the roles they’re applying for.
  • Providing a fully inclusive and accessible recruitment process and proactively offering and making reasonable adjustments for candidates as required.
  • Promoting a culture of being Disability Confident through our staff network I-CAN, mental health awareness training for managers and creating a flexible work environment where disabled staff are treated equitably, supported and feel safe to disclose where needed.

In April 2021, we became a member of ENEI, the leading employer network promoting equality and inclusion in the workplace.

We became a member of Stonewall in April 2021, and are working towards entering the Workplace Equality Index.

Business Disability Forum

We also became a member of the Business Disability Forum in April 2021, an organisation that exists to create a disability smart world and increase the life chances of disabled people.
