The Women's Health Research Centre conducts research and clinical trials through all stages of women’s lives.

The Women’s Health Research Centre (WHRC) is dedicated to improving the health outcomes of women and their babies. The Centre conducts research and clinical trials through all stages of women’s lives; from preconception, pregnancy and birth, the period after birth and into later life when women may face gynaecological problems and the menopause.

The WHRC has a dedicated team of research midwives, clinical trials coordinators, research technicians and an administrator. The team work together to ensure that all clinical research studies relating to the health of women and their babies carried out at Imperial are supported, well managed and run to the highest of standards. Research findings are then incorporated into direct clinical care, resulting in better outcomes and better health for women and babies. The Centre is partially supported by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).
