How to find us

Enter the hospital via the main entrance and walk past the antenatal clinic on your left. When you reach the end of the room turn left down a long corridor. The unit is the last door on the right.

How to find us

Enter the hospital via the main entrance, walk past the antenatal clinic on your left. Turn right when you reach the end of the room, you will see a set of lifts on your right. Continue past the lifts and go through the double doors in front of you. Next to a second set of doors you will see a bell on your left. Ring the bell and wait for a member of staff. They will open the door for you, and you can then take the lift or the stairs to the first floor. The centre is on your left.

Visiting times: General visiting is between 09.00 and 20.00

This does not apply for women in labour who can have two people with them throughout

Protected meal times: Breakfast, 08.00 to 09.00, lunch, 12.00 to 13.00 and dinner, 18.00 to 19.00

Facilities: Double beds are provided to allow partners to stay overnight, wifi

Edith Dare ward

How to find us

Enter the hospital via the main entrance. Proceed straight ahead past the reception desk to the end of the corridor. Take the lift to your right, or the stairs that are signposted next to the ultrasound department on your left, to the first floor.

The only children permitted to visit are the patient's own children

Facilities: Kitchen with a fridge and microwave facilities for heating up own meals, breastfeeding room, sitting room, a limited number of amenity rooms subject to availability

How to find us

Enter the hospital via the main entrance, and walk past the antenatal clinic on your left. Turn right and you will see a set of lifts on your right. Take the lift to the third floor, the suite is clearly sign posted.

If you would prefer to use the stairs, walk past the lift on the ground floor, and go through a set of double doors. You will see a second door which leads to a staircase. Continue up the stairs until you reach the third floor.

Lewis antenatal suite

Enter the hospital via the main entrance, walk past the antenatal clinic on your left. Turn right when you reach the end of the room, you will see a set of lifts on your right. Take the lift to the third floor. The Lewis antenatal suite is adjacent to the delivery suite.

Facilities: Drinks are available, water fountain, wifi

Enter the hospital via the main entrance, and walk past the antenatal clinic on your left. Turn right and you will see a set of lifts. Take the lift to the fourth floor, the unit is clearly sign posted.

If you would prefer to use the stairs, walk past the lift on the ground floor, and go through a set of double doors. You will see a second door which leads to a staircase. Continue up the stairs until you reach the fourth floor.

Patient age group: Newborns

Visiting times: 24/7 for parents, 15.00 to 20.00 for others

Maximum number of visitors per bedside:

  • From October, parents only

  • From March, two visitors at cotside, and only four named visitors for the duration of the hospital stay 

  • Other visitors must be accompanied by a parent. Siblings can only visit once a week

Facilities: Lockers for parents, sitting room, tea and coffee making facilities, a computer, wifi
