Background

Mr Jason Ho is a consultant ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon with subspecialty interests in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina.

After gaining a first class intercalated honours degree in Immunobiology, Mr Ho graduated second in his year at Imperial College School of Medicine with Distinction. He undertook his ophthalmology residency training in London in Moorfields and the Western Eye Hospitals, followed by subspecialty vitreoretinal fellowship training at St Thomas’ and Western Eye (at the Trust). He is a keen surgical trainer and is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Microsurgical Skills Training Faculty and the Examination Panel.

Mr Ho treats general and emergency ophthalmic conditions as well as diseases of the retina, both medical and surgical. His special interests include cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implants, vitreoretinal surgery, retinal detachment surgery, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, vitreous haemorrhage, diabetic retinopathy, medical retina, complex cataract surgery, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular disease.
