Dr Barbara Cleaver Consultant in emergency medicine

Background

Dr Barbara Cleaver trained at the Royal Free Hospital and School of Medicine, graduating in 1999. She entered higher specialist training in emergency medicine in north west London in 2007 and was listed on the General Medical Council Specialist Register as a consultant in emergency medicine in 2014. She works cross-site at St Mary's and Charing Cross hospitals' emergency departments.

Barbara is the clinical lead for emergency medicine and a trauma team leader at St Mary's, one of London's major trauma centres. She is also a member of the mental health subcommittee for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, as well as a membership and fellowship examiner

Barbara's specialist interests are: clinical design and process, initial assessment/triage, and mental health in the emergency department setting.
