Background

The most precious gift Dr Claudia Gore can give is to improve the quality of life of a family affected by allergic disease. Relentless itching, sneezing, wheezing and worries are so common and hard for children, young people and their families. Compassionate, consistent care for the whole person is what makes the difference.

This is, why Dr Gore is passionate about improving care for children and young people affected by allergic conditions locally, regionally and nationally.

Since 2009, Dr Gore has been a consultant in paediatric allergy at St Mary’s Hospital, where she has led the children’s allergy service and now leads the adolescent allergy service.

Her work in clinical allergy was recognised with the prestigious William Frankland Award by the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology in 2018.

Dr Gore graduated in Germany in1995 and awarded MD (res) in 1996 in Germany.

Postgraduate training from 1996 to 2009 in the United Kingdom, on the specialist register as qualified in paediatrics and paediatric allergy and immunology. Awarded a PhD in paediatric allergy in 2006 by the University of Manchester.

Clinically, specific expertise in caring for children and young people with complex multisystem allergic disease and severe eczema and in providing as well as expanding services for allergic adolescents.
