Background

Dr Saud Ahmed Khawaja is a consultant cardiologist specializing in coronary and structural intervention at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and East North Hertfordshire Trust. 

Dr Khawaja completed undergraduate training at Guy's, King's, and St Thomas' Medical School, which included an intercalated BSc in human genetics. Additionally, He has completed an MSc in interventional cardiology and a prestigious interventional fellowship at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.

Dr Khawaja has also undertaken a research degree at Imperial College, which involved a randomized control trial aimed at minimizing neurological injury during transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). The research is predominantly focused on structural aortic valve intervention (TAVI), with a particular emphasis on stroke prevention in TAVI.
