Background
Dr Samir Wassouf has over 35 years of general paediatric experience. He has had a particular interest in the modern management of type 1 diabetes for over 25 years. He works in a team with another consultant, two diabetes nurse specialists, a dietician and a clinical psychologist to provide effective assessment, education, and training on the modern management of type 1 diabetes, whether via the pump or the basal bolus regimen with particular emphasis on empowering the parents and the young person to understand and take active roles in managing their diabetes.
