Background

Dr Nearchos Hadjiloizou is a consultant cardiologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

He graduated from University College London Medical School and trained in the north west London region including St Mary's, Hammersmith and Harefield hospitals. He was awarded a British Heart Foundation research fellowship for his work on coronary physiology and completed his thesis with a PhD at Imperial College, London. He has published in international journals, presented in international annual meetings such as the American Heart Association, European Society of Cardiology and the British Society of Cardiology. He was awarded the Young Investigator Prize in the international meeting of artery research in 2007.

Dr Hadjiloizou provides a friendly and comprehensive approach to his patients. He provides advice and managements on all aspects of cardiology including angina, valve disease, hypertension, atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia. His clinical subspecialty is coronary intervention which he performs at Hammersmith Hospital where he participates in the 24/7 heart attack PPCI programme.
