Background
Dr McEwan studied at Imperial College School of Medicine obtaining a bachelor or science with first class honours and the MBBS qualification. He undertook his postgraduate medical training in North West London including at Imperial Healthcare NHS trust and was appointed as a consultant at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in March 2024.
Dr McEwan holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education from University College London and co-lead on provision of multidisciplinary obstetric emergency training at the Trust. He has advanced training in maternal medicine and labour ward and he currently his the antenatal lead consultant at Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital. He also holds a clinical governance role and lead on investigations and risk reports.
