Maureen Allen

Background

Prof Maud Lemoine received her undergraduate education in Medicine from the University Pierre & Marie Curie in Paris, France and underwent hepatology training in Paris. She also completed a MD in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and a PhD on pathophysiology of metabolic disorders and liver injuries in Paris University, France.

She joined Imperial College London in 2011 as a clinical research fellow and was promoted as full professor in hepatology in 2021.

Prof Maud Lemoine has a broad range of interests and expertise in the field of hepatology including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic liver disease. She is known internationally for her research, especially on viral hepatitis B and fatty liver disease in special populations. She has extensively published in high level scientific journals.
