What we do

The Imperial Memory Unit is a research unit run by Dr Richard Perry, conducting clinical trials for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease at Charing Cross Hospital. We offer trials for people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, but also for people who has a family history of dementia, or are worried about their memory and wish to participate in trials, which may prevent the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

The majority of trials offered by the unit are Phase 3 trials, meaning that the medication has been tried in previous human trials. The aim of these trials are to assess efficacy of the drug and are usually between 1-4 years long.
