Christine Ryan

Background

Dr Liubov Borukhson is a consultant rheumatologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, primarily based at Charing Cross Hospital. She graduated with first-class honours from Donetsk National Medical University (Ukraine) in 2007.

Her specialist training was undertaken predominantly in tertiary centres, including Addenbrooke’s Hospital, University College Hospital, and the Royal Free Hospital.

She has broad experience across the full spectrum of rheumatic diseases, including connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, osteoporosis, and rare rheumatic conditions. Dr Borukhson holds an MSc in Rheumatology (Merit) from King’s College London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (Distinction) from the University of East London.

She is a strong proponent and practitioner of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), enabling completion of the full diagnostic cycle and, where appropriate, the delivery of ultrasound-guided injections for most patients during the initial consultation.
