Statements on the death of Her Majesty The Queen

Chief executive Professor Tim Orchard said:

“We are incredibly saddened by news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

“Her Majesty demonstrated many qualities, including those that are the foundation of excellent patient care – humility, compassion and kindness. Her dedication to this country and to the Commonwealth was extraordinary. We are so grateful for the special connection she had to our organisation, both to Charing Cross Hospital, where she was patron, and to The Lindo Wing at St Mary’s, where several of her grandchildren and great grandchildren were born.

“We give our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family.”

Chair Matthew Swindells said:

“NHS staff across the 12 hospitals in the north west London acute provider collaborative are greatly saddened by the news that Her Majesty The Queen has passed away.

“We are grateful for the Queen’s unflinching dedication to service over the past seven decades and will honour her memory by our own continued commitment to public service in the NHS in north west London. She was, and will remain, a role model to us all.

“On behalf of the staff at the four acute NHS trusts in north west London, may I offer condolences to the Royal Family at this time. Our prayers and thoughts are with them.”
