Event: Managing sickle cell and thalassaemia

The North West London Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Clinical Network is hosting an event for sickle cell and thalassaemia patients and carers at Hammersmith Hospital on the 26 June.

We encourage patients and carers from all over the network to attend this event, which will include talks on:

• pain management in sickle cell disease
• new treatments in thalassaemia and sickle cell
• gene therapy: new hope for a cure
• use of hydroxyurea for children with sickle cell disease
