Background

Tariq Ayoub is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust where he is the Lead for A&E at Western Eye Hospital and does high volume cataract surgery in the Imperial cataract hub at Charing Cross Hospital. His interests include treatment for Cataract, Vision Correction including LASIK, PRK and ICL implants, Corneal disease including Keratoconus treatment and Eye-lid disorders.

After completing medical school in London, Mr. Ayoub went on to complete his Ophthalmology training at the prestigious London School of Ophthalmology, namely at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Royal Free Hospital. He has completed multiple fellowships in Cornea, Cataract, Refractive Surgery, Oculoplastics and Trauma. He was previously Locum Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital before being appointed as Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare.

Tariq Ayoub is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth), a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS-G) and a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology. He is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council and has received Specialist Certification in Refractive Surgery (Cert-LRS) by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Mr. Ayoub has received multiple prizes and awards from national and international organisations for his work in the field of Ophthalmology. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles and has presented in national and international meetings across the globe. He is an active educator and is passionate about training junior eye surgeons.
