Formed in 2007, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust provides acute and specialist healthcare to over one million people a year. With its academic partner Imperial College London, it formed the UK's first academic health science centre and hosts the largest National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centres (BRC).
