Background

Dr Patrizia Cohen attended Yeoville Convent private school in Johannesburg, South Africa,and went on to study at the University of the Witwatersrand (BSc Hons MBBCh FFPath (SA)). She held the role of consultant pathologist at the South African Institute of Medical Research from 1986 to 1989, and then the role of consultant pathologist at Hadassah Hospital, Jerusalem from 1990 to 1999. She has been a consultant pathologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust since 1999.
