The Job

Healthcare science assistants and associates support healthcare science practitioners, clinical scientists and others in a variety of areas of healthcare science.

As a member of the laboratory team, you may be involved in:

• data entry
• working directly with patients
• following laid down procedures
• ordering stock

Requirements

You will learn and develop on the job, we expect you to have good literacy, numeracy and technical skills.

Your development

You will gain formal qualifications through a Healthcare Science Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship, including a BTEC certificate in Introduction to Healthcare Science.
