Notification of planned emergency planning exercise at St Mary's Hospital

Every year we run a range of exercises in order to make sure that our emergency plans are tested on a regular basis. As part of this programme, we’re holding a small scale, planned exercise at St Mary’s Hospital today from 11am in order to test some of our emergency plans.

This exercise scenario will help us practice how we would evacuate a ward. No actual patients are involved in this exercise and we’re using volunteers to pretend to be patients so that our staff can practice how they would respond in a more realistic way.

You may see more activity than usual and we will have colleagues from the London Fire Brigade on site as they are practicing their plans as part of this exercise.
