Don’t score an own goal this evening
While not all of us may be football fans, there’s no doubt that the three lions are bringing the country together as the England football team approach their semi-final match against Croatia this evening.
Naturally, many of our staff and patients will be glued to their TV screens this evening. This includes a screen in Hyde Park for 30,000 people and many others watching the match in pubs across London.
All of our hospitals will continue to care for patients 24/7. We expect St Mary’s A&E to be particularly busy both during and after the match. To help our clinical teams care for their patients, and to prevent yourself a trip to A&E, we ask people to keep hydrated and drink alcohol sensibly.
