Strikes affecting National Rail (6-11 May)

Industrial action is set to affect some National Rail services between Monday 6 May and Saturday 11 May. Strike action may also mean that Oxford Circus Underground Station needs to close at short notice between 22:00, Friday 3 May and 06:00, Sunday 5 May.

Industrial action dates and services/train operators affected: 

  • Friday 3 - Sunday 6 May - Oxford Circus Underground Station may need to close at short notice between 22:00 and 06:00.
  • Tuesday 7 May – c2c, Gatwick Express, Greater Anglia (which includes Stansted Express), Great Northern, Southeastern, Southern, South Western Railway (which includes Island Line) and Thameslink
  • Wednesday 8 May - Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Great Western Railway, Heathrow Express, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway
  • Thursday 9 May - LNER, Northern and TransPennine Express.

In addition, the above National Rail train operators will have an overtime ban from Monday 6 May to Saturday 11 May, which may alter the timetable of trains that will be running.
