Cancellation of Trust board meeting: Wednesday 27 January 2021

Due to the current urgent priority of the NHS response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided to cancel the Trust board’s meeting which was due to be held on Wednesday 27 January 2021. We want our executive team and staff to be able to focus on operational priorities, ensuring all our patients receive the care they need and are kept safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

During this second wave of Covid-19 admissions, we have reduced our governance activities, including putting a pause on strategic and major developments as far as possible. This means there are no significant decisions or proposals that need to be discussed or considered by the Trust board at present. Our non-executive directors are receiving weekly updates on the Covid-19 response and they recognise the huge efforts being made by our staff and wish to express their deepest thanks and appreciation for their dedication and commitment.

We will be publishing the regular chief executive’s report to the board, including an update on our operational response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This will be added to the board papers section of our website shortly. We will also respond to any questions from the public that may have been raised as part of the Trust board’s public meeting.
