Investigating the role of gynaecological ultrasound in improving the management of women with suspected gynaecological cancer, reducing avoidable major surgery currently performed on women with benign tumours, fast tracking accurate diagnosis in women with suspected gynaecological cancers, developing new surgical techniques in caesarean section, which may prevent future abnormal placentation, the use of intraoperative scanning to improve surgical outcomes.
