Mr James Richard Smith
Background
Mr James Smith graduated from Glasgow University in 1982 where he obtained MB ChB and MD qualifications. He moved to London in 1984 and worked at St Mary's Hospital, then moved back to Scotland where he completed his MRCOG qualifications. On returning to London in 1988 he completed a research thesis on cervical cancer and infection.
He was a lecturer, then senior lecturer at Charing Cross and Westminster School of Medicine. Following this he was chief of gynaecology at Chelsea and Westminster and associate director of postgraduate education.
In 2003 he moved to Charing Cross and Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea hospitals. He works with the GTD and Germ Cell Centre as well as being part of the West London Gynaecological Cancer Centre.
