The National Centre for Human Retrovirology is a national tertiary referral service for patients infected with human t-lymphotropic virus (HTLV) infections.

We diagnose, treat and monitor all HTLV infections and associated diseases.

Clinical trials and research

Treatment trials for these rare conditions are sometimes available and will be offered to patients if appropriate. Our clinical research centres around the ways in which these viruses cause disease and how treatment might be improved. This research is conducted through a tissue bank and participation is always voluntary.
