The de Swiet Obstetric Medicine Centre have joint working relationships with specialist physicians and midwives, pharmacists, anaesthetists and neonatologists to provide individualised women-centred multidisciplinary care. Women will be seen in combined clinics with the relevant physician specialist and maternal medicine specialist. Details of clinics and staff in the clinics are listed below:
- Monday mornings (alternate weeks): Haemoglobinopathy clinic (Sickle cell disease and thalassaemia) with Dr Mark Layton and Catherine Baker
- Tuesday mornings: General medical problems (weekly), cardiac or heart disease (weekly), neurology (alternate weeks), renal or kidney disease (monthly)
Team: Professor Catherine Nelson-Piercy, Dr Pooja Dassan, Professor Liz Lightstone, Miss Mandish Dhanjal, and Catherine Baker - Tuesday afternoons: Pre-pregnancy counselling of any complex medical disorder including rheumatology, cardiac, respiratory, general with Professor Catherine Nelson-Piercy and Catherine Baker
- Wednesday mornings: Diabetes clinic with Dr Anne Dornhorst, Miss Bryony Jones, Helene Theophanous, Mary Joyce
- Wednesday afternoons: Diabetes clinic with Dr Anne Dornhorst, Miss Bryony Jones, Helene Theophanous, Mary Joyce
- Thursday lunchtime (monthly): Pre-pregnancy counselling clinic (PPC) for renal/kidney disease with Professor Liz Lightstone; general medical problems and obstetric problems; pre-pregnancy counselling with Miss Muna Noori and Catherine Baker
- Friday morning: Haematology clinic (weekly), endocrine/metabolic clinic (weekly), liver clinic (three monthly), general medical problems clinic (weekly)
