Our services
Children's syncope
About
Based at Hammersmith Hospital, our syncope service for children is led by Dr P Boon Lim, a cardiologist specialising in the fields of syncope and clinical electrophysiology, and paediatric consultant, Dr Nelly Ninis.
Conditions and treatments
Syncope is a medical term for a ‘blackout’ or fainting, caused by a sudden drop in the supply of blood to the brain leading to a short term loss of consciousness.
We use tilt tests to provide early diagnosis and appropriate management of children with syncope and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). If required our play specialists are available to support your child and help them to feel comfortable and relaxed during the test.
