Background

Dr Victoria Jowett is a consultant fetal and paediatric cardiologist at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospital. She has been working in the subspecialist field of fetal cardiology for the past nine years, with expertise in the diagnosis and management of heart defects and heart rhythm problems in babies before birth.

Her specialist training in paediatric cardiology was undertaken at the Royal Brompton Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Evelina Children’s Hospital with two years of subspecialist fetal cardiology training.

In addition to her clinical role, Dr Jowett also has a strong interest in medical education and is the training programme director and chair of the training progression management committee for junior doctors training in paediatric cardiology. She regularly lectures on courses teaching other doctors and obstetric sonographers in scanning of the fetal heart.

Research & publications

Her research interests include brain development of fetuses with congenital heart disease. She was awarded a doctorate of medicine from Imperial College London in May 2017.
