Background
Dr David Inwald qualified from Cambridge University and trained in adult and paediatric medicine before completing his training in paediatric intensive care medicine at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. During this time he also completed his PhD. He is currently a consultant and honorary senior lecturer in paediatric intensive care at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College, London. He is also a paediatrician with an expertise in cardiology (PEC), having successfully completed the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) accreditation in echocardiography of congenital heart disease.
