Background
Mr Ali Mearza qualified from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1996 and shortly after began a career in ophthalmology. He undertook most of his training in London and then subspecialised in cornea and refractive surgery with fellowships at some of the world's most respected institutions.
He was appointed as a consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2007.
