Pulse is our quarterly magazine, focusing on our staff, patients and volunteers, looking behind the scenes at the real story of the incredible work that goes on across the Trust.

It is available in hardcopy from red and orange Pulse bins across our five hospitals – in reception areas and main entrances and next to restaurants and cafes.

PULSE - WINTER 2017/18

Pulse - Winter 2017/18

In this edition we celebrate the Trust’s 10th birthday by asking our staff what the stand-out successes were for them and what they see as the biggest challenges ahead. Check out staff vox pops on page 6.

Our cover star is Jacqueline Owusu-Ansah, a midwife and labour ward coordinator at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital. In our All in a Day’s Work feature, Jacqueline walks us through a typical working day and explains why she loves her job.

Five in-depth features explore different Trust initiatives including Schwartz Rounds about how we provide psychological support to our staff in the face of challenging events such as the London terror attacks and the Grenfell Tower fire. We’re also looking at frailty and what all clinicians need to know this winter.

We’re pleased to support the launch of Imperial Health Charity’s Wishing Tree Appeal that provides support to patients and families who have financial difficulties as a result of being in hospital. Read this and many more stories in this winter edition of Pulse.
