Outpatients refurbishment feedback week launches 22 February

Imperial College Healthcare Charity is investing over £7 million in our outpatient facilities to make them work better for patients and for staff, including ensuring:

  • quicker check in and check out
  • it's easier to find your way around
  • there's less of a journey to have blood taken
  • spacious, more patient-friendly waiting areas
  • more comfortable chairs
  • warmer, brighter colour scheme
  • new lighting and flooring
  • better access to information.

On Monday, 22 February, we’ll kick off a week of small feedback events and displays about the refurbishment in our outpatient areas. We’ve also set up an online survey encourage feedback from patients and local people who can’t get along to an event.

We know from patients and staff that improving outpatient services is one of our biggest challenges – and a key element of our Care Quality Commission action plan. It’s essential that improvements are driven by the insight and ideas of those who use and deliver the services. We’re also working on initiatives to improve ways of working and communications.

UPDATE: Our survey has now closed. Thanks so much to everyone who shared feedback at our forums and online. We'll keep you up to date on our progress — keep an eye out for more outpatients news.
