Trust appoints new director of people and organisational development
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has named its new director of people and organisational development as Kevin Croft, who brings a wealth of human resources and NHS experience.
Kevin is currently director of people and service improvement at Epsom and St Helier University Hospital NHS Trust where he has been there for the past seven years.
Prior to this, Kevin worked across north west London as director of workforce transformation and, before that, as director of organisational development and HR at North Middlesex University Hospital. During this period Kevin also served four years as the UK President of the Healthcare People Management Association, the professional association for HR staff in the NHS.
Interim chief executive of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Professor Julian Redhead, said: “Kevin brings with him knowledge and experience that will be invaluable in helping us to be a fantastic place to work, enabling us to attract, develop and retain our skilled and diverse workforce committed to providing the very best care for our patients and local population. I look forward to welcoming Kevin to the executive team.”
Kevin said: “I am thrilled to be appointed to a Trust with such a great track record in innovation and learning, nationally and internationally. I welcome the opportunity to serve the Trust’s people, patients and partners, helping to ensure continued improvements and to respond to changing needs and demands.
Kevin is also the founder of the London Healthcare People Management Academy - providing professional development programmes to London's NHS HR professionals, and, the creator of the APPRECIATE approach to people management - providing practical tasks for managers to improve staff engagement and team working.
The Trust’s current director of people and organisational development David Wells announced his decision to leave on Friday 13 July 2018 after 3 years at the Trust. He is working with Kevin on a smooth handover of responsibilities. Kevin will start with the Trust on Tuesday 14 August 2018.
