Fire safety at Imperial College Healthcare Trust buildings

The Trust takes fire safety very seriously. Our overriding priority is ensuring the safety of our patients, visitors and staff.

Following the tragic events at Grenfell Tower, the Trust’s internal teams have reviewed the cladding arrangements on all of our Trust buildings and these reviews have ensured there are no urgent fire safety risks. None of our Trust buildings use materials similar to those in Grenfell Tower.

Fire is a core part of staff training, we regularly undertake audits and testing of our fire safety procedures, and measure our compliance against national standards. We have an on-site 24/7 clinical site practitioner service and security service at all of our main hospitals and all fire alarms are responded to by security to make an initial assessment.

We will continue to work with our colleagues at London Fire Brigade to ensure that we always meet required standards around fire awareness, prevention and safety at all of our buildings.
