Congratulations to our nurses
Four nurses at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust have been shortlisted for the prestigious Nursing Times awards.
Emergency Department Nurse, Rebecca Kenny, was named as one of the Nursing Times Rising Stars.
Rebecca is currently undertaking a Darzi Fellowship in Clinical Leadership looking at innovative ways of providing inpatient care. Rebecca’s work has focused on patient and staff involvement to build on the importance of the nurse / patient relationship.
Nursing Times awards Rebecca Kenny and Dementia teamMeanwhile the Dementia Care Team - Lead Nurse, Jo James and Clinical Nurse Specialists Jules Knight and Beth Cotton - have been nominated for the enhancing patient dignity award.
The dementia care team works tirelessly to make Imperial College Healthcare a ‘dementia friendly Trust’ and has introduced a number of initiatives including dementia care passports, activity packs and reminiscence books to improve treatment and care for patients with dementia.
