Cast members from Aliens Love Underpants land at St Marys Hospital

Cast members from the hit west end show, Aliens Love Underpants, made a surprise visit to children being treated at St Mary’s Hospital earlier this week.

At the event, arranged through Starlight Children’s Foundation, children from the Great Western Ward and the Paediatric Short Stay Unit were treated to an exclusive reading of Aliens Love Underpants by cast members and had the chance to meet the show’s colourful pant-stealing aliens.

Tina Halton, play specialist at the Trust said:

“The children sung and clapped their way through the whole performance. The visit from the cast members of Aliens Love Underpants really gave children spending their summer holidays in hospital the chance to escape the ward for a short while and enter the magical world of storytelling.

“The children particularly enjoyed meeting the pant-stealing aliens in person.”

Based on the hugely successful children’s book by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort, Aliens Love Underpants tells the story of the mischievous aliens who come to earth on an important mission to steal everybody’s underpants. The book has now been adapted for the stage and the show is currently playing at the Dominion Theatre until 5 September.
