Research resource focus group

The Trust is looking to build its research resource, expanding the information we collect about our patients, improving analysis of health data and increasing the number of people taking part in research trials. Ultimately, we want to invite everyone who attends one of our hospitals to add to our resource to help us improve care and treatment within our hospitals as well as nationally and internationally.

We are organising two focus groups in May to find out from people with experience of our services what they think about our plans for our research resource and how we can position and explain it to others as effectively as possible.

The focus groups will each be made up of 8-10 individuals who have been a patient or the carer of a patient within the last 12 months. We also need to ensure a mix of ages and backgrounds, as far as possible. Our staff or other NHS or Trust supplier employees are not eligible to take part. As is normal for ‘market research’ type activities, we are offering £20 plus £5 for travel to those who are invited and attend one of the focus groups.

If you would like to register your interest in taking part in one of the focus groups, please email imperial.involvement@nhs.net and include your name, age and whether you are employed, retired, unemployed or a student. We also need you to confirm that you have been a patient or carer within the past 12 months. We will email you to let you know if we are able to offer you a place and, if so, on which date.
