Professor Guang-Zhong Yang, director and co-founder of the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery at the College, will talk abut his work to develop a fibre optic medical robot that could access the body through tiny cavities and look for early signs of cancer.

Professor the Lord Ara Darzi of Denham, director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation and consultant surgeon at the Trust, will talk about the clinical impact of new surgical techniques and tools developed in the Surgical Innovation Centre at St Mary’s Hospital on patients.
