Work experience

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust offers young people the chance to undertake work experience at our hospitals. Our aim is to help candidates understand and get a feel for their chosen areas of work, which will help them make decisions about their future careers.

What kind of placements do we offer?

  • Pre-medical - This programme is aimed at those studying further education and considering a degree in medicine after their current studies.
  • General/Administration - This program is aimed at any candidates over 16 years of age who wish to improve their chance of finding paid employment by undertaking a period of work experience at the Trust. 

Both placements are organised by the human resources department at the Trust.

Availability 
Please note that the placements we offer are limited. We cannot offer places to every applicant applying for work experience at the Trust. Each advert will provide application information and further details for the candidate. priority is given to those people applying who live within the boroughs of Hammersmith, Fulham and Westminster.
