Accommodation

New or existing staff at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust can apply for help with accommodation. There is a limited amount of staff accommodation available on-site at Charing Cross and Hammersmith hospitals. There is also some keyworker accommodation available near St Mary's hospital. Details of how to apply are at the bottom of this page.

Charing Cross Hospital 
There are 608 units of accommodation for staff. This is a mixture of:
• Shared accommodation for single people
• Shared accommodation for couples
• A very small number of family flats
• Student rooms
• On-call rooms

The accommodation is managed by Dominion Housing Group (formerly Acton Housing).

Cost
• The shared single accommodation is £386 per month (from September 2007) including bills and council tax
• The shared couple accommodation is £503 per month (from September 2007) including bills and council tax

Hammersmith Hospital
There are 204 studios and 42 one-bed flats in Holborn House and Clement Danes House, situated on the site to the right of the main hospital. This accommodation is managed by Thames Valley Housing, which has an office on the site.

Both the studios and one-bed flats are self-contained with a shower room, small kitchen area and a balcony. They were built in 2005 to modern standards.

The studio accommodation is for single people and the one-bed accommodation is reserved for couples.

Cost
• The studio accommodation is £517 per month (from April 2008), excluding council tax
• The one-bed flats are £632 per month (from April 2008), excluding council tax
 
St Mary's Hospital
The Homes4Keyworkers initiative, part of the Westminster Housing Forum, offers good value accommodation near St Mary's Hospital to Trust staff. Rental options vary depending on your salary. Find out more on the Trust section of the Homes4Keyworkers website.

General availability
Although we try to accommodate as many staff as possible, we cannot guarantee accommodation will be available at the time you need it. Accommodation is subject to availability and priority is given to some groups of staff (as determined by the Trust).

We currently have a waiting list for our couple's and family-sized accommodation, because demand far exceeds supply.
