NHS payscales

Agenda for Change (AfC) is the new pay system that applies to all NHS staff except directors, doctors and dentists. The new system was introduced in December 2004 and is designed to improve the conditions of service for NHS staff and provide a more transparent system of reward for staff working flexibly.
