Our services
We offer full sexual health tests, outpatient HIV clinics, HIV treatment and more specialised sexual health services. These include:
- Confidential testing and check-ups for STIs. We recommend you have a check-up once every three to six months, even if you feel okay
- Free medicine for the treatment of STIs
- The majority of our results are ready on the day or in one week after your appointment
- Confidential rapid HIV testing (the results are available after 20 minutes) with counselling available, both before and after the test. We can provide same-day HIV certificates for men who work in the adult entertainment industry
- Vaccinations against hepatitis A and B
- Advice on sexual health and information about STIs and how to prevent them
- Information on and free supply of condoms, lubricants and other safer sex materials, for men registered with the project
- Answers to questions about sexual and men’s health matters
- We offer screening and testing for tuberculosis (TB) and work closely with the TB nurse at St Mary's, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
- Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) medication to men seen within 72 hours of potential high-risk exposure to HIV infection. Please note if you suspect you need PEP you need urgent assessment. You should attend the Jefferiss Wing urgently during clinic hours or the accident and emergency (A&E) department out of hours. Do not wait to attend the Working Men project
- Referral to other specialist sexual health services and drug/alcohol services as required
- Outreach programmes, such as taking sexual health advice and condom supplies into massage parlours, saunas, escort agencies and to the flats of men working privately from home, as well as providing advice in online chat rooms and through instant messaging
- Walk-in service for cryotherapy (wart treatment), vaccinations and associated blood tests only. If you require a full STI check-up you need to call us first to make an appointment.
