Speech and language therapy

The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) departments provide a comprehensive service to adults and children with communication and/or swallowing/feeding problems.
Inpatient services are offered as part of a consultant episode of care. 

Specialist clinicians assess and treat adult inpatients with communication or swallowing disorders from fields such as neurology, stroke, trauma, critical care, respiratory medicine, and upper GI surgery.

Outpatient services are available to the following groups:

• Patients referred with voice/ENT disorders or head and neck cancers, including those who have had a laryngectomy
• Adults or paediatric referrals for videofluoroscopy
