Reproductive endocrinology
There is a specialist multidisciplinary reproductive endocrine team comprising of reproductive endocrinologists, a gynaecologist, clinical nurse specialists, a counsellor and a specialist beautician.
There are close links with endocrinology/diabetic medicine as well as the fertility service with their specialist interest in anovulatory disorders.
The reproductive endocrine service specialises in the assessment and management of menstrual disorders associated with:
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Hypothalamic pituitary dysfunction
- Hypoprolactinaemia
There is also a specialised premature ovarian failure clinic which is held in conjunction with Dr Cox, a specialist in the management of osteopenia/osteoporosis.
