Rapid assessment unit

The rapid assessment unit is for patients who need urgent assessment and diagnostics but who may not need formal hospital admission in the following groups:

• Asthma
• COPD
• DVT
• Pneumonia
• Pneumothorax
• Pulmonary embolism (PE)

Location
The rapid assessment service  is located in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) on the 1st floor of the QEQM  building and is open from 09.00 to 17.00.
