Paediatric syncope diagnostic centre

We provide a diagnostic service for children aged 7-16 for the investigation of unexplained syncope/loss of consciousness. This includes assessment and tilt testing along with advice, treatment and follow-up for the patient and families/carers.

At present our paediatric tilt service is one day per month. This involves close liaison with the paediatric play specialists as we are located in an adult department.

The service is supported by two charities - STARS (www.stars.org.uk) and the Arrhythmia Alliance Heart Rhythm Charity (www.heartrhythmcharity.org.uk).
